The Easy-ColorQA System features:

• Color Match page

Color MatchThis page allows to match your ColorQA measures (or computer generated RGB values) to color cards, paint lines, inks, fandecks and more...

The typical use is to identify the more similar commercial tints for your CAD software or graphic package generated colors.

To successfully use this feature it's very important to understand that any computer color simulation only approximate the real color cards, fandecks or color collections. For any practical purpose, once you obtain an indication about a commercial color, always refer to an original color sample before taking any color related decision.

• Color Search page

Color SearchThis page can be used to locate a specific color in a commercial color card or collection. Usually commercial colors (paint, inks etc.) are identified by code and/or name (for example: code 5023, name PINK SHADOW). Once a color is properly located in the desired collection, its RGB data can be stored in the color clipboard and made available for the calculator, match and harmonies functions.

Keep in mind that color can be searched inserting the complete code or name, or simply inserting a part of it. For example inserting "PINK" in the entry field will result in displaying all colors with this name in their description (PINK SHADOW, PINKISH BLOOM, SUNNY PINK...).

Similarly inserting part of the code, as for example "5G", will result in all the color codes containing this character string (2.5G2/10, 2.5G3/10, 2.5G4/8...).

• Color Calculator page

Color CalculatorThis page allows to convert color data to different color spaces and standards. It's a powerful tool to manipulate color information and obtain RGB and CMY values for everyday computer tasks.

Each time new data is entered, the resulting color is displayed on the bottom part of the application window (color clipboard). This data is also automatically made available to the other functions of EasyRGB-PC.

If the numeric data is not compatible with the specific color space or is out of gamut, the other fields and the color clipboard are blanked.

• Color Harmonies page

Color HarmonyThis page allows to simulate color harmonies and schemes best complementing your RGB data. It's designed to help selecting color combinations to paint houses (walls, trims etc) or good color schemes for Web site design.

Once a nice complement is identified and transferred to the color clipboard, it can be matched to a commercial color family or used in other functions.

• Calibration page

Monitor color calibrationThis page gives access to the Monitor color calibration wizard that will guide the operator through 4 easy monitor calibration steps. Monitor calibration is crucial to obtain consistent on-screen colors. It is also the only way to visually communicate colors between different computer systems (different locations, O.S., video cards, monitors etc.). By default the displayed colors are compatible with the standard-RGB specification and adapt to modern CRT monitors.
